Hello our names are Maddy Nisly and Cara Snyder. We are both 18 years old and almost done with high school. We both love to crochet and get to together and craft with our yarn and pioneer movies.
My name is Maddy and I started crocheting around the age of 13. I owe all my crafting and crochet skills to Cara for getting me into it and showing me how to crochet the basics. I love to crochet in the evenings and it helps me be able to relax and chill-out after any kind of day. I love crocheting for so many reasons but one reason why I adore it is because it’s something I can do while I’m gathered around people or the tv, that way I can focus in on what’s going on but still getting something done and most importantly keep my hands moving. I’m not a still person, I have to be doing something! I also love it because, I love to see something that starts out as much of nothing into something beautiful. I’d hope and love to one day open an Etsy shop and share with the world something my hands made. I’ve been challenging myself more and more on trying new things and expanding my creative skills into more complex items. I have a Facebook and Instagram page where I get most of orders in. I love seeing people’s excitement and happiness over something that I made, makes me feel proud to see someone walk around with a little something that I was able to create with my own two hands.
Hello! My name is Cara and I started crocheting around the age of 6. I enjoy it because I love creating something that no one thought of and thought about trying. To be able to sit back and relax and crochet is what I just love to do in the evenings. I’d also love to one day open an Etsy shop. I get most of my orders through word-of-mouth and instagram. My crochet hook and red heart yarn is my best friend. I also dabble in sewing which I earned that creative side from my talent mother. But over all, I much rather crochet. I love creating character hats, those are probably my most favorite item to make! I love seeing the joy and laughter on people’s faces when they see something that relates to them in a fun or serious way.
We are beat friends who craft and crochet together in the same booth during Day In The Country, but we have own styles, ideas, and creations. So when they are combined we create an amazing inventory! We hope to see you this year as we put out some homemade crocheted items for you!
