I make greeting cards, gift tags and unique package decorations out of paper. I have always enjoyed working with paper – cutting it, folding it, creating art with it. A few years ago we had the opportunity to visit England and spent a couple nights in the town of Bibury in the Cotswolds. While I was in England I visited some of the most fabulous paper stores and was inspired to come back and use my love of paper and creativity to earn enough money to go back to Bibury. I used that name for my company because I always think of going back there.
I get my ideas for designs from all over. My dad loved puns and I guess I enjoy them too. I like to see people read the card then chuckle over it. Sometimes a saying or a quote inspires a picture. Sometimes the opposite is true. My sons are always ready to offer suggestions for cards.
Ethan, one of my sons, has some amazing computer skills and has helped me transfer my drawings into digital files that I can use on my cutting machines. This has saved me the time of hand cutting each piece with scissors and allowed me to design new cards and package wrapping supplies.
